You already know Energy Trust of Oregon provides financial incentives for using energy efficiency measures that exceed the code for both new and existing construction. These incentives can help us build better houses that please our energy and cost-conscious customers. But Energy Trust also provides learning opportunities to help us be better informed about energy efficiency topics, to help us apply cost effective construction methods, and connect us with others in the industry who can help us learn from their experience.
Energy Trust holds Trade Ally Forums twice every year for trade allies participating in the residential, Existing Multifamily and Solar trade programs. These forums provide an opportunity to learn about market trends, potential resources and Energy Trust program updates. They also provide training, networking with Energy Trust staff, a chance to meet vendors and provide feedback to help Energy Trust make their programs better for those who use them.
Energy Trust also provides ongoing training sessions that help contractors better serve their customers, enhance their capabilities and grow their business. Training topics include new construction, existing homes and solar.
Energy Trust sends out a newsletter each month with topics of interest, including business tips, marketing and sales tips, industry news, technical tips and best practices. They can connect you to trainings sponsored by other groups you may find to be beneficial.
If you don’t yet participate in Energy Trust financial incentive programs it may be well worth your time to check out their website at energytrust.org. And learn about the other benefits they provide while you are there.
