Safety Break for Oregon – May 13, 2015
A number of Oregon companies and their employees will recognize the importance of safety and health in the workplace during the statewide Safety Break for Oregon celebration on May 13, 2015.
“Providing safety and health resources for workplace activities is a key value of our Association. Let’s celebrate the annual Safety Break with the rest of the Oregon Workers as we all work together for a safer workplace.” – David Davidson – HBA Safety Consultant
The Department of Consumer and Business Services, Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) coordinates Safety Break for Oregon, designed to raise awareness and promote the value of workplace safety and health in preventing injuries and illnesses. The event – which occurs on the second Wednesday in May – takes place in workplaces across Oregon.
When businesses involve employees, they can manage workplace safety and health just as they manage any other part of their business. If you would like to schedule a Safety Break event at your business, visit http://www.orosha.org/subjects/safetybreak.html or call David at the HBA Office – 503-399-1500.
We will also have a Safety Info Table in the lobby at the HBA Offices in Salem (375 Taylor Street NE) on May 13th from 9 am – 2 pm. If you are in the area come by and get the latest information on safety practices, training tools, safety giveaways and new or updated OR-OSHA regulations for your business.
